Adoption: to change the process or not?

This article was about different peoples opinions on international and national adoption. THe article stated that russia is outlawing that Americans can adopt from there, and it used to be very easy to adopt from Russia and now it seems to be harder for people to adopt. The issue is even if the American system is harder there are still kids that need to be adopted so do they need to be adopted from foreign places or from here.

Many people made very good points. I think that it doesn't really make sense that if there are tons of kids in America that need to be adopted so it makes sense that we should adopt with in our country, but there are many risks with adopting with in America. Children can be taken away from there new parents which almost never happens internationally, which is why parents feel safer to adopt internationally. If America had some better adoption laws than it may be better for all of Adoption.

I don't understand why they would not let kids to be adopted from russia if they also need to be adopted. Even if it's easier for kids to be adopted in Russia and kids need to be adopted here its not fair to force a family to adopt a child that could possibly be taken away from them. I think that all children deserve to have a good life so the laws should be easier in America and maybe slightly harder in Russia and have the possibility to adopt children from Russia.
